You used to be able to jump on webpage, read news, and search various artist, venues, cities, etc.
Great tool to find shows if you were traveling to certain areas.
Now, have to have an account. Pushing premium model and not very user friendly.
Any insight on why the change?

Too many unregistered people jumping on the webpage, reading news, and searching various artists, venues, cities, etc

From what I can see is that they got enough of people trying to find shows when they were traveling to certain areas, while, at the same time
searching various artists, venues, cities while reading news, all of this, unregistered.

well it was more industry-related news. But it was a great site. The new format is weird.

It's the way the internet is moving - sites from X all the way to boxrec.com (boxing records) require you to register just to look at the site.
Probably so they have better data to sell to advertisers, more than anything.
