Ever been at a concert and were standing next to somebody that smelled like they shit their pants??
What concert was it? Did u cover ur nose with a mask to block the stench? Did anybody else notice the stench and started squirming because of it?

Did u end up moving to somewhere else to watch the show, or were u stuck in place? Did anybody say anything to the dude that smelled like shit, and if so, was there a fight over it? Or did they just laugh it off??

I remember being at the Echoplex and some white dude with dread locks stands in front of me and the combined smell of accumulated smoke, sweat and shit coming off what used to be hair was overpowering. It was during the Zig Zags. I remember that because my friend was going to see them a few weeks ago and the flashbacks were so vivid I almost retched right there. It overwhelmed the senses so hard I don't even remember the band.

I remember a show at Anaheim HOB where it was WASP headlining, LA Guns and Pearcy and for both Guns and Pearcy the crowd smelt fine so after them I went to grab a burger and when I came back and I guess WASP fans had put their stamp on the room I've never smelled such a stench in my life and I've done comedy in Norco. When I opened the double doors to the floor area a wall of bo hit me like napalm.

I had to lift Courtney Love back onto stage after she dove into the crowd after a guy in Indianapolis back in 1994.
She smelled like pee, B.O. & smoke. Does that count?
Interesting note- Drew Barrymore was there caring for Francis Bean during the show.

I posted on here 10 + years ago that my buddy was opening for Bert Miracles. I was his guitar tech that night. Got in free and got to see the show. It was a fun time and there to support my buddy.
He sound checks and we are going to grab dinner in his area. But we decided to watch Bert's band do their sound check from the side stage, next to the monitor guy (who hated them and talked shit all night). We were maybe 5-10 feet tops from the keyboard player. We would have not been that close during the show.

Anyway, as Pete is singing as Bert is out doing his charity work with the local radio station. The band is loud, and I have to fart badly. My farts aren't just air, they are bad. Rotten cheese, cabbage, and a hint of sweet onion with a touch of poo and sewer. I end up not just farting but farting bad, and long and was probably just shy of actually shitting my pants.

So as I am finishing the band is done, my buddy is like "Oh fuck man, you smell like a sewer!" We walk away to grab dinner but notice the guys walking through what was like a pigpen scene from charlie brown of my fart. It was keyboardist, drummer, and bass player. They were saying something and their faces said it all. I played it off and acted cool and just took it all in.

I was posting during Bert's set here on Sludge and you guys were cheering me on to call him Bert when I met him later and try to grab his hat. One of you offered me cash!

About 20 years ago I was at the Cat Club on Sunset. The worst , unwashed, greasy smell was coming from behind me- after about ten minutes, I couldn't stand it and turned to look. It was Lemmy. That's not a surprise though.

Not shit but maybe worse. I went to an Echo and the Bunnymen show in New Orleans last year, it was packed and we maneuvered to a decent spot to see the stage. We soon figured out why this area was not a wrestling match, somebody in the vicinity smelled like a combination of vomit and a sun-baked landfill. Never could figure out who exactly had the funk on them but we stayed there as long as we could tolerate it before we had to drop back to get away from it.

So I ended up with a mild case of Covid afterward. Probably got it from whoever was creating that Angel of death cloud.

Good thing now you can buy a cologne to smell like this every day.

Literally once. I think the chick was so soused that she actually didn't realize she'd soiled herself. Felt bad for (and repulsed by) her. Slinked off to a different zone of the club.

Band was whoever was opening for Opeth on that tour.

I saw Parliment Funkadelic at The Channel Club in Boston many years ago. We got there maybe 9:00ish & you could hear the band was already cranking. When I walked in to the oversold club it hit me like a ton of bricks. The nastiest combo stench of weed, bo, urine, feces, sweat etc. all rolled into one. We hung for a couple of hours, not sure how long the band played, but we all stunk on that ride home.
