So he has been out of action for a while. He posted a few days ago about selling some art to raise money for his medical condition, but didn't say what was. They just posted on their facebook that he has an "aggressive cancer diagnosis".

That's too bad. I've seen them a handful of times in recent years and they/he kick ass. Straight forward dirty club rock. He's looked rough the last two times though.

First Junkyard album is great. Hope he makes it.

Well, this is upsetting. I have only been able to see Junkyard once live, and they were fantastic.

I talked to David pre-show for a minute, as I was curious if he wrote some lyrics that I always thought were pretty clever. Specifically:

"I guess you left me baby, looked over and you were gone, might have stopped you, but the TV was on"

He told me that he did write that line and that he thought it was pretty good too....but in the 20 years the album has been out, I was the first person to ever mention them to him. He told me I was his new best friend.

Great band, seemed like a nice guy. This is shitty news.
