Bulletboys - Freakshow

Post by DangerZone »

I have a tape player in my ride and found this cassette.
What a terrible opening song!
I almost stopped but the next few songs are enjoyable.
“Hang on st Christopher” just ended.

The DLR impressions get old fast

DLR definitely belongs in the overrated list
He is better interview than performer and Van Halen is almost unlistenable- it’s boring
I’ve never listened to Van Halen cd from start to finish- always took few listens

I’m so grateful I saw Freakshow era Bulletboys play to an arena of 10000. Fantastic life memories
Marq is way better singer and entertainer than DLR
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

One of my favorite bands of the era, but they were really inconsistent and their records were all over the place in a bad way.

THC Groove, Hang on St Christopher, Freakshow, Talk to Your Daughter are top tier in my book.

But stuff like Goodgirl, Do Me Raw, O Me O My, etc is fucking garbage. Entire second half of the album can go in the trash, honestly. It's clear why Templeman was always having them record covers - they didn't have the focus to turn in 10 good songs.

Ripping Me sucks but has one of the nastiest rock guitar tones every put on tape.

the guitar is awesome.
The whole band is great but the singer does way too many adlibs

And then there’s 2 covers back to back

The down home blues songs ruined this genre more than Nirvana ever could.
Was listening to Great White ‘hooked’ and you have to fast forward every other song

I didnt get into a lot of late 80s hair metal, but the Bulletboys debut was pretty good.

This one was awful! Maybe 2 decent tracks.

Definitely not as good as the debut, but it's still enjoyable in its own way. The singles are all great on this one--"THC Groove" in particular is a killer tune.

Better than Smashmouth at Kings Fairgrounds?

Mr. Bulletboy was good at Starline doing warmup while Mr. Greatwhite was doing whatever he was doing in the public bathroom.
