Be happy you didn't worship early Motley and have to deal with that shit-show the last 20 years.Billy Jack wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 7:48 am Maybe one of harshest reminders I'm old. I stone cold idolized him as the most dangerous & cool front man at the time to now being the biggest Dweeb. I can not reconcile the Live at the Ritz Guy to the Corn Rolls Guy to that Ridiculous Fedora wearing goof he is now.

I would have bet a lot of money he would not be out there touring, happy, fairly healthy showing up on time, running 3 hour shows at this age. He seems genuinely happy now. Got nothing but respect for him....and whatever medicine he finally found to turn his life around.
Plus he sang for AC/DC and killed it.
Agreed! He seems to have finally quieted the demons. Man, back in the day he was BANANA BREAD. I think we forget how fucking nuts Axl was back in the day.daveg wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 9:25 am make me happy for him. It reminds me that HE'S old... but yeah, it's weird that all of our 80's rock guys are pushing 60 or even 70.Billy Jack wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 7:48 am Maybe one of harshest reminders I'm old. So basically he’s a happy cunt now?CrankerBait wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2025 2:49 pm He was a real cunt when he was in the prime of his career. To his credit, he seems a lot happier, a lot more pleasant, and a lot less late than he used to be.

It blows my mind how GNR became legends and they only have a handful of albums. I saw them live a few years ago and was very disappointed. He at least looks relatively normal now but he sounded terrible and the band just had no vibe at all.
