I like '80s, wife likes '90s...

We went out to dinner tonight and I had satellite radio turned to the '80s channel. Not really my wife's thing, but she puts up with it here and there.
On the way back, "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" comes on.
She says, "Wang Chung?"
I say, "Yeah, everybody Wang Chung tonight."
"They say that?"
"Yeah. You don't know the song?"
"I know the song."
She turns the volume up. This is a big victory for me. She's feeling it.
Then Steve Winwood's "While You See a Chance" comes on. I'm thinking the party's over, but she likes this one too.
Then... "Out of Touch" by Hall & Oates. Everybody likes this song. Can't go wrong. Then "Heaven" by Bryan Adams. She's loving it.
This random playlist couldn't have gone more perfectly. And it it started with AC/DC "Thunderstruck".

Didn't through years of playing KISS music your wife finally buckle and said their ballads like Forever were okay?
Happened in the car as well?

I once whipped out a bunch of KISS songs in the car. The only one that stood out to her was "Reason To Live."
KISS is a weird band. They have all these pop-metal singles that should've been hits with the general public - "Who Wants to Be Lonely" is another one - but didn't do much and went on to be forgotten behind crap like "FIrehouse."

There’s some great 80s hair metal as well as some great 90s hair metal. It’s the best of both worlds

My old lady loves Steve Winwood. She typically likes very good music, but also likes getting back in the high life now and again.
