Saw it last night. I quite enjoyed it and hope there’s a second half in the can since it only goes through LZII era.

The article says it gets a wide release in the US on the 14th. Just checked my local theaters. It's not playing.

Article did state it ends at led zep 2 and didn't mention a part 2 which is a shame.

That quote from Plant was pretty funny. "How can you make the film since there's no footage, since we did out damndest to prevent it, thus depriving ourselves of that important historical record"

There's definitely not a second film in the can. Rolling Stone has an interview with the guys who made it. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/musi ... 235260081/

So, will there be a sequel that ventures into Led Zeppelin’s later years? The filmmakers are cagey. “I haven’t even given it a second thought,” says MacMahon. “This is the film we wanted to make. It was like climbing Everest. All I know is a sequel would be an enormous amount of work. I don’t contemplate that lightly.”

You might want to search for today or tomorrow instead. I saw opening day this past Thursday. Had a thread up for it but I suck and it was already booted to page two.

Thanks. So yeah, not likely to happen. I’ve just learned to never say never in this particular industry when there’s both demand and money to be made.

I like Led Zep but never really dug deep into how they started. Like, I had no clue JP was "The Yardbirds" & started LZ as such & only right before the record came out did he change the name. The main takeaway for me was if it weren't for Jimmy Page, odds are you never would have heard of Robert Plant & John Paul Jones. I would think John Bonham would have gained some notoriety, as he was that good.
What was the reason they never truly reunited as Led Zeppelin with frequency, on even a part time basis?

I think it was mostly down to R.Plant...he was always fairly clear that he had no desire to re-live the past...he'd simply moved on.
