Here in small town NE Georgia people are listening almost exclusively to country music and jeebus music, with an emphasis on Wallen/Combs/Riley Green/Zach Bryan/etc. bro country, and if they're listening to anything classic rock, it's probably Skynyrd. They could never understand a band as awesome as Queen. Besides, Freddie was gay, and around these parts people think being gay is a sin.

QUEEN RULES. I even like the Flash Gordon soundtrack!

Their sound was unparalleled recording-wise. Probably the most meticulously recorded band since The Beatles. Brian May’s guitar tone is severely underrated. Roger Taylor’s drumming, also underrated.

And good gosh - Freddie’s songwriting and arranging, again, Beatle-esque territory.

They just don’t get enough props due to probably their name and the homosexual slant.

When it comes to queen I'm a greatest hits fan. Can't get into their studio albums.

Meh, "Headlong" and "Flash Gordon theme" are the only 2 songs I have downloaded, and I like some of their hits, but totally sick of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and can't stand "Under Pressure".

I reluctantly listen to terrestrial radio when I run short errands and there is almost always some queen song on some station at any given time. Queen is the ultimate "people list them as one of their favorite bands but only know one song" band for people younger than their hey day.

When Wayne's World came out, a whole generation had their mind blown by Bohemian Rhapsody. It was funny, back in the AOL days nearly EVERYONE had Queen on their "Music" part of their bio. And 90% of them only knew BR, and MAYBE one or two other songs.

The funny thing is, they all know "We Will Rock You" but most just thought it was a random sports game chant.

I'm sorry but I just can't get into Queen. I need inspirational music that helps motivate me getting into my lifted mid 90's 4x4 and throw some mud around while shooting my gun out the window while chugging moonshine and chewing tobacco. Before y'all get upset at me, the simp in me stays on my own property while getting rowdy in the middle of the night. The closest neighbor is three miles down the road and they don't hear me. Alot of times I just need some good ole Waylon. Yeehaw!

Love Queen! Great tunes and excellent musicianship! Its a shame here in the US, folks dissed them after Hot Space. After that debacle, they came back with some excellent recordings.
