This is happening now in Toronto Canada, flight originated in Minneapolis Minnesota!

The fact that the entire jet did a NASCAR flip, and is currently laying upside down and NOT on fire, is amazing.

No deaths reported yet... but... hearing several injured, some critical, etc...

One of the wings is missing, nowhere in sight (?)... which explains how it was capable of rolling over and laying on it's roof, completely upside down!

Some video showing people running out of the doors, etc... Wow!

It's absolutely ridiculous. This shit is going to keep happening as long as Elon is allowed to run amok. There's a reason we need safety standards, and those morons fired a bunch of people that were very experienced, but just happened to be new hires.

Killing a bunch of American Gymnasts wasn't enough, I'm curious who's going to have to die for them to get their shit together and figure out this isn't working.

There's been some smaller ones over the past couple weeks besides the helicopter collision, and that medical one that torpedo'd into the ground.

There was one in Alaska, another in Florida.

I've never heard of one flipping upside down. Some really bizarre aviation accidents over the past month.

This was odd, I was on a flight that landed at Pearson about an hour earlier. It was pretty windy, but nothing extraordinary...clear skies and even though we've had a ton of snow, the runway was pretty clear.

The stupidity here is unreal.

Video looks like the plane came in fast, landed hard, and then bounced to one side. Not sure how any administrations decision could have caused that. Unless it was weather related and the plane shouldn't have been airborne in the first place.

As much as I dislike and disagree with Trump and his wife, Elon (or is it the other way around), they aren't causing crashes. BUT, what they are doing is gutting federal agencies, some of which have responsibilities for safety. That can't turn out great.

I chuckle at the story of them firing peeps in charge of keeping nuclear sites safe and then trying to rehire them. Assuming it's true. I get cutting costs by trimming that fat, however, making decisions so half haphazardly when it comes to public safety and national security is beyond fucked up.

All the cuts have occurred so quickly that there cannot be any actual waste analysis. It's all about Trump the King. The nuclear site story confirms that. Not knowing what agencies have been impacted and how, I'd be hesitant to air travel for a while if the FAA has been impacted.

Not directly. But they specifically went to OSHA and were like, "throw all your regulations in the trash". Anyone that dies because of a cut to safety is on their hands, because more than likely, it wouldn't have happened if they had they left well enough alone.

It's like driving around in a car that you took the seatbelts out of, and you get in a wreck and your passenger dies. That shit is on YOU.

The bigger question is are we giving up safety for the sake of money ? It’s been unreasonably cold across Canada for the last 3 weeks. I know there have been piles of flights canceled going between the provinces. Should this flight have left for Toronto ? Will the decisions to fly or not be left up to the airlines alone ? I know how much they love reimbursement for cancelled flights.
