Just discovered Annihilator...

This is some good shit. I'm sure I'd heard of them, but they came on on a thrash metal mix I threw on at work yesterday, and some awesome riffs grabbed me. I've listened to Allison Hell twice, now. It's always fun to discover a "new" band, even if they've been around for 35 years.

Great band but plagued by constant lineup changes (singers especially). The first album is a classic of the genre.

That debut album is awesome!
The original singer, Randy Rampage was the bassist here in a local Vancouver legendary punk band, DOA, it is somewhat mind blowing that he was never a lead singer , before he did the debut Alice In Hell, Annihilator album .
He turned out to be my favourite of all the singers they ever had .
I was a bit too young to see them as a local band here in Vancouver, back in the day. After they moved back east , they never came around, so was damn happy when I finally got to see them , about a decade ago .

Their first 2 albums are great, but their later discography is very hit and miss. That said, there are some brilliant tracks throughout. Some of my favorites:
The Blackest Day (Live at Masters of Rock)
Insomnia
Betrayed
Warbird
Torn
King of the Kill

I saw them on the Alice tour opening for Testament . It was in a well over capacity bar in Calgary. It was easily the loudest show i have ever been to. And i saw Motörhead 3x . Annihilator was every bit as good as Testament that night.
Speaking of under the radar Canadian thrash bands , has anyone listened to Sacrifice - The Ones That I Condemn ? If not… check it out.
