Is one of the best albums released in 1985.
How many of you old rockers thought this stuff belonged on Mars back in the day, but have now found an appreciated for 80s new wave?

My first (music) love was all New Wave, and Punk... which became the initial MTV flavor in the early 80's!
One hit wonders or not... most of those records, were great, top to bottom!

I love Oingo Boingo in general. Their farewell Halloween show DVD was in constant rotation for a long time. I got to see Danny Elfman live playing Jack Skellington for a Nightmare Before Christmas concert at the Hollywood Bowl one year and to close the show, he brought Steve Bartek out and they played "Dead Man's Party" and it was a highlight of the night.

No, most of us knew it was awesome when it came out.
I did come to realize that other early 80's New Wave bands were actually very talented.
But Oingo Boingo was never a question.

I didn't get it back in the day but recently bought it on vinyl and is in constant rotation. Really a great album from front to back.
I previewed some other albums from them but nothing really seems to hit the mark like Dead Man's Party.
