Been going through the Scorpions catalog and finally got to this one. I didn't remember it fondly at all. Not sure I ever even listened to it after a few weeks. Only remembered Alien Nation, under the same sun and Lonely Nights. The were all fine, although I really liked Lonely Nights.

So as I'm listening, I found myself really enjoying a lot of it. still some bad stuff like every one of their albums (Unholy Alliance, Ship of Fools, Taxman Woman)

But there are some other really strong songs on this.
Hate to be Nice is probably the best song on the album, and just a great fun song. Might have been a hit a few years earlier.

Someone to Touch is pretty solid
Nightmare Ave and No pain No gain are some fairly decent album cuts

Nowhere near the classic album run, but this is way better than I remember, and I probably gave up on them a bit too early

I thought it was fantastic. People complained it was too heavy, which fucked up the band for a decade, because it led to the next two releases being Pure Instinct and Eye II Eye.

Unbreakable was at least a return to form, but I can't name a single song off it at the moment. I wasn't fully back on board until Humanity came out.

Excellent album, but I too didnt think much of it when it came out. Since then, I def dig it. Saw them when this came out, at a club here in NJ (Birch Hill). They were supposed to play orange county speedway and it was cancelled due to poor sales. Not sure how BH swung it (looked like a door deal, roadie was at door with a counter. It was friggin loud and insane , and yeah waaaay oversold. Always think about this show when I see stuff about the Station fire.
