Why Are Danzig Albums So Hard to Get?

...and/or crazy expensive?
Sorry if this is more common knowledge and I've been in the dark, but whats the deal with this? I have almost every album of his but there are a couple I've been wanting in a different format, or a new copy, and it's a total pain in the ass.
I've tried to get 6:66 on vinyl 4 times in the last year, (twice from Amazon, once from Merchbar and once from Discogs). Amazon sent some random ass album I've never heard of both times, and the other places had to cancel the orders after months-long delays. Same thing with Black Aria.
I've also never had physical copies of Live On the Black Hand Side or Deth Red Saboath and both are stupidly hard to find and balls expensive.
There's probably a reason or two I don't know about but it's wild that Danzig stuff is so hard to get.

Samhain albums are even harder to get. I think Danzig owns all if not most of the masters too.

Yeah I think he does. Which is strange that he wouldn't want his catalog regularly available. Maybe he has a distribution issue? Or hell, maybe he likes having his stuff be considered rare and more sought after? I mean shit, a huge part of the Misfits and Samhain thing is that their recordings have been in & out of print and hard to find. Maybe he wants his solo stuff to follow suit.
In any case, I found a new copy of 6:66 on vinyl with the alternate cover on eBay today, so here's to hoping it arrives this time.

Seems like it's a lot of Def Jam / Def American records that are in some kind of limbo, most likely contract issues.

I don't get them either, they suck.
Misfits, however, I got it instantly! Badass, short, catchy tunes!

Try these 5 songs from a few of the first 4 classic Danzig albums :
Until you call on the dark
Left Hand Black
Do you wear the mark
Twist of Cain
She Rides
If you don’t like them , then yes you won’t like Danzig.
Let us know what you think ,after truly listening to them.

Maybe if he would re-release them, he could earn enough money to make repairs to his house on Franklin and finally find a buyer.
No one wants a house with a shit roof and bad porch posts.

I'm a big misfits fan, like some Danzig. Those 2x Danzig III songs kinda rip. I've only listened to Danzig I & II (and Danzig sings Elvis

)

Danzig III is a masterpiece and II is close. If you think either suck, not sure what to say. Samhain can be an acquired taste but Intium and NovemberComingFire are perfect imo.

First four records aren't hard to get, which are the good ones.

Until: ugh, drags on too long...terrible, I want my 4 minutes back!
Left: much better, not bad at all, cover art is pretty bitchin'
Mark: groovin', one of the better Danzig songs I've heard, reminds me of Sabbath's Into the Void a bit
Twist: catchy, but I prefer his catchy and energetic Misfits tunes to this
She: boring as fuck................!
In sum, thanks for taking the time to suggest some tunes, but I'm not really feeling his solo stuff. I guess if someone held a gun to my head and made me pick a record to listen to it would be his 3rd album. I'd passively listened to songs from his first album on the radio and it was just background music to me.

Love the Misfits and the first three Danzig albums. Couldn't really get into Samhain. I got the Misfits coffin box set at release and it looks to be going for quite a bit now.

You need to watch the video for She Rides. It’s the only reason anyone cares about that song.
