I gotta admit... Amazon is absolutely insane on the delivery time...
Perhaps not on everything... but... today was next level!
In short, ordered something off Amazon at 12:20pm today, it was shipped at 1:35pm, and delivered to my door at 3:27pm!
3 Hours, 7 Minutes, from pressing Order to the Package at my door!
Gotta admit... that is nuts!

Usually on Amazon same day deliveries regardless of when I order I can get a delivery window between 5-10pm. Sometimes it comes a little on the earlier side of that range, which I’m fine with. I live in a suburban Midwest area with a lot of Amazon buildings in the general metro area. I’m a little closer than others but not as close as some, and the item location depends on the type of building.

Fastest? Prolly 3 days... I just ordered a Ramones CD on Discogs on Tuesday, got it yesterday, so 4 days, that's pretty good.
I'm not usually in a hurry either, sometimes I order from abroad and it takes 3 weeks, no biggy...

I remember during one of the hurricane's I could have purchased water from a local Staples through Amazon and it would have been delivered within an hour. It was like Amazon partnered w/ uBer. And doesn't Amazon have a "get it today" search option?

Next day air if you pay for it
I like doing Amazon early morning delivery for some items I order at night and then it’s there before I wake up! 4am-8am delivery.
Prime is so worth it

As much as we hear how "evil" Amazon is, the convenience is undeniable, particularly when you need that odd item you'd never find on a shelf and end up ordering anyway.
The fastest was probably 2-3 hours. It was a same-day delivery situation and was delivered hours earlier than expected.
EDIT: there are two distribution centers within 20-30 minutes of my house.

I dont have prime, but am always amazed at how fast stuff I order from the CEO gets across country in a day or two. When I mail something across town, it takes like 5 days. Nuts

fun is how you can track the order
They tell when it’s shipped..then you can follow the updates on site with the steps being completed .. then tells you when it’s expected.
I did this with Alexa Bliss heavy metal jacket before.
The process was fun like the jacket- kind like Santa gift for adults. You wish for it then track it like..
Santa on Christmas Eve. The Santa app is the best

when i first started ordering from amazon i got a few things the same day which was crazy to me. that hasn't happened again in a few years.
however costco delivered some food and drinks within 90 mins which totally blew me away.
