Man these guys wrote some incredible pop songs, but had no idea they were touring again.

They look and sound fantastic. new singer doesn't really look the part (more like a country singer) but she can sure sing.

I'd love to see this tour.

Fun fact. Roxette was my first non "metal" concert around 1991, and it blew me away, and opened my eyes to a whole new music world.

I don't think much about pop music of the 90s, but when one does, it is a much different and better thing than much of today's manufactured "hit machine" crap. 90% of songs today are written by Max Martin and his team of 7000 other contributors.

They were real bands that had chemistry. Sure, they may also work with other songwriters, but they weren't the performers of songs they had nothing to do with.

No Marie Fredriksson, no Roxette.

Yep. I admire Per's effort, but it's just not the same without Marie.

Ditto x 2. I'd probably go see them since I never saw them live before, but she was Roxette.

Great show, they sound good, but boy, they are using tracks, 100% look closely, they both are doing it.

I see what you mean, but she barely wrote any songs, 2 per album or so. Maybe Per underestimates her importance abroad because of that and because in Sweden, she was moderately successful at best outside Roxette with a handful of solo hits, and Per was and is a big star with his other band Gyllene Tider - think every album they did went at least platinum and they did sold out summer tours with 20+ shows for years - and has a solo career at least as successful as Marie's.

While all this is true (Marie had a hard time writing in English, hence the lack of her songwriting on Roxette records).... The only way Per Gessle has a chance in hell of performing outside of Sweden (MAYBE in the UK) is to do it under the Roxette name.
They haven't played the US since 2012.

An interesting side note is that Marie's "replacement" Lena Philipsson is a much bigger star in Sweden than Marie ever was outside Roxette. I actually saw her live once, at Gröna Lund and it was packed. An amusement park with 17k capacity where "everyone" has played from Tom Jones and Elton John to Marilyn Manson and Slayer.
