Unfortunately, only know Hammerjacks from the legend and excellent documentary. Thunderdome 2001-2005 was a great rock club for the time. What Baltimore memories do you have?

I played Hammerjacks 2 times, I think on tour. Great club with a killer built-it light setup for the time.
L7 (as Camel Lips) are seen playing there in "Serial Mom".

Don't remember how many times I was through there. At least a few.
I think one of them was the final gig with Shark Island, so we pelted them with live goldfish and rigged an inflatable shark to swing across the stage.
Always a great party there. You were always gonna have a good time and everybody was gonna get IT ON.
The Poison guys were ALL about that place. According to them, the best gig ever was every time Kix played Hammerjacks.

There was no comparison between those 2 clubs. Hammerjacks was legendary for a reason, and ruled Baltimore. The Bayou ruled DC, followed by the 9:30 club.

I'm sure no comparison. Hammerjacks was it when I was a kid, much too young to go. Hammerjacks and Baltimore were synonymous for sure. Thunderdome" was good for its time 2001-2005, but nowhere near Hammerjacks of course. I did have some great "Thunderdome" memories.

Do you have a link for the documentary? I can only find the trailer.
At M3, I heard a lot of people talking about this place and Jaxx too. They were 80's rock meccas! There were a few scattered across the country. Unfortunately I was too young to experience it all. I didn't hit the clubs until the 2000's when everyone was past their prime.

Badass!!! All original members. Young and hungry! Forgive me for being a fanboy but when I was about 10 years old, my best friends older brother did a show at a place called Katina's in Hadley, MA. On the wall, they had 8x10's of all the bands that have played there and I specifically remember seeing Every Mother's Nightmare and TUFF! I hated being too young to actually go to the shows! But I probably would've ended up like Jorge DeSaint or something so I guess it's all for the better.

November 1991, Chase, Jorge & I were all 25, Michael was 23.
Chase would quit the band a few weeks later after the tour ended. Crazy times...
I remember KATINA'S.... it had a red/maroon colored awning over the front entrance if my memory is working?

Yep! It later became The Vertex. I saw Trixter there on the Hear tour. They were all tired and drinking on stage and telling bad jokes. It was clear it was over already! They had just toured arenas with Warrant and Firehouse!
After The Vertex, sadly it became a Copy Mat. No sign of it ever being a rock haven.

I played there in ‘91 opening for Overkill.

8x10 was the size of the tiny stage.
