Hansen skipping Foreigner Canadian tour

Foreigner is hitting the road in Canada this fall with a very noticeable lineup change: vocalist Kelly Hansen won't be with them.
In his place will be Geordie Brown, who played the male lead in the 2018 and 2019 workshop productions of the band’s upcoming 'Juke Box Hero, The Musical,' which is set to begin production in 2026.
Although Hansen is not joining the band on tour, a rep assured fans that he's still part of Foreigner's collective. “Some issues have forced Kelly to limit his time outside of the U.S., so he will not be part of this Canadian tour," they said. "He is still with Foreigner.”
“I was most impressed by Geordie’s performances of Juke Box Hero, The Musical in Canada,” Foreigner founder Mick Jones shares. “He is not only a consummate vocalist, but a verified Broadway actor to boot. We look forward to welcoming him at our shows on Foreigner’s 2025 Canadian tour.”

Foreigner singer won't visit foreign country. Interesting.
These guys are gonna be like TSO... two touring versions, one domestic, one international.

Gotta be? "Limit time outside the US? There's no reason you can go to Detroit and not Toronto, unless it's a customs thing.

I would say they might have stronger consumer protections and anti-fraud provisions but they are letting the rest of the band in.

Didnt they literally just finish playing in South America, the run where Lou joined em??

He's apparently also skipping the South American shows:
“I am so looking forward to continuing my journey with this incredible band. Some issues have forced me to limit appearances outside of the USA this year and this means unfortunately, I will miss Foreigner’s South American run. However, our incredible bandmate Luis Maldonado has been recording some of our hits in Spanish and he will be handling most of the vocals along with Lou Gramm who will be guesting with FOREIGNER for those shows. I know they will smash it!”

They don't care south of the border unless perhaps he has an Interpol warrant for timeshare fraud.

Yep!
Usually, after a certain number of DUIs, you can't get a passport (or back taxes/child support). Not saying that is his case at all.
Also, Canada classifies DUIs as Felonies, whereas in the US, in most areas, they are misdemeanors unless you have several or god forbid, hurt someone.
So by nature, they don't let felons enter, which they recognize DUIs as a felony.
But hey, our distractor in chief wants to make Canada our 51st State so maybe this will change (terrible idea and am team Canada on this topic)

It's hilarious that they wrote Lou is "guesting" with Foreigner when all the rest of the current members are the the ones I see as guests.

When I first saw this I though Foreigner has sunk so low that the band Hansen declined to open for them.

Man they made Lou Gramm introduce the band last night … that ain’t right.
Sounded like they gave Lou the hardest parts, parts he couldn’t and shouldn’t be singing because the man CAN still sing just not the high parts they gave him … Juke Box Hero for example.

I like the new guy better than Hansen. The new guy goes for all the high notes and is 10 miles away from a crack or a frog in his voice. He is solid.
It’s too bad they lost the saxophone guy and replaced it with a keytar. (Urgent).

I think you're right, but is it possible he wanted to sing some of that stuff, and they were just like "Fuck it, if you want to embarrass your self, go ahead".
