I guess I didn't realize he is brain damaged from a motorcycle accident that he was in back in 1988.

I also read that he at some point in 1995, OD'd on cocaine... and then had a tumor removed from his sinus that was cancerous.

I was at his Buddy Holly tribute show at the surf ballroom in 2013. He was a complete fuck up and a lot people started to leave mid show and after the show Ritchie Valens brother Bob went after Busey as he walked off stage getting booed to punch him for the disrespectful performance and the surf ballroom security got them separated and got Busey out of the place

It was his singing or lack of. You could tell he didnt do rehearsals before hand and was missing words and then screaming/yelling some parts. At one point he walked off stage and Tommy Allsup who was a great guy to talk with before the show was playing on stage with him and trying to calm the crowd down that was left and booing Busey

So they weren't with Busey?
