Newly released docs from the Pophouse purchase of the KISS catalog show that founding member and writer of KISS' biggest hit, Peter Criss wanted the band to be named in his honor as KISS, a takeoff of his name CISS. The bigger than life drummer revealed that at the bands outset, his opinions and creativity were the driving force behind the initial success of the band.

I expect nothing less from a People's Choice Award winner.

Over time, it has become abundantly clear that Peter Criss is the most important member for the success KISS had.

BITD there was talk about the SS is CRISS, which became the bands logo, were related to the SS of Nazi Germany's logo. Clearly the hebrews had nothing to do with this but the drummer with jazz swagger was of Italian descent, Italy being part of the axis forces in the war. It becomes more clear every day.

They should change the name to VViss........for obvious reasons!

Nah, the logo thing was the German guitarist with a habit of waving at you with un upturned palm and stiff arm. Allegedly,

the word out there is that Peter invested heavily into Pophouse and now has more saying that Paul and Gene over the KISS brand, so basically they are his employees.

This wasn['t posted on April1st. As has been pointed out, Peter was an investor in Pophouse. Witz and Eisen work for him. That's why Peter retired and lives off the sweat of the hebrews now. He has a better deal than Steve Perry has
