Fucking hell...is it the condition that he's in here that caused his exit from Bon Jovi?

He's slurring his words like a punch-drunk boxer, WTF?

At 52:20 of the interview Sambora is asked about an old band of his called "Message" that was signed to the Swan Song label (owned by Page and Plant). His reaction to the question of why it didn't work out was eye opening to say the least.

So weird to see a member of Smashing Pumpkins interview a (former) member of Bon Jovi.
'90s Corgan would never believe it.
And yes, Sambora has apparently drank himself retarded.

You know, talk all the shit you want about Sambora having substance abuse issues or whatever, but fuckin A right for calling out Page like that. Too many people kiss Zeppelin's ass, when in reality, two of the four band members had literally everything, and pissed it all away.

Jesus, a stumbling rambly drunk and/or burned out Sambora is a very bad match for Corgan's interview style. Corgan leans overbearing as it is and you can tell he feels the need to lead Richie through the interview which just makes it worse.

Not sure that he's wasted. He may be showing some of the effects of decades of drinking, plus he's no longer the young man we remember from the 80s. Anyway, the Page heroin reference was funny.

I watched the interview and I don't remember the Page/Heroin reference. What was it?

Sambora makes Ace Frehley sound coherent, and Corgan is unbearable as he talks over the subject repeatedly!
I've watched several of his Podcasts, and he talks more than the person he is interviewing.

Agreed. Beyond annoying. I tried watching the interview with Wolf VH and had to turn it off as he wouldn't let him finish a single story.

I doubt this is how Sambora speaks when he's sober. He sounded OK on the Bon Jovi doc and that was only filmed a couple years ago. In most important interviews in the past, he was fine. These podcasts tend to be like this.

I actually enjoyed the interview. Yeah, Billy's annoying but Richie played it cool. He didn't seem drunk to me, just REALLY tired. HIs voice was VERY gravelly. That was beyond normal rasp.
I think all rockers have some form of brain damage from all the loud music and other noises for so many years. Even just all that time spent on airplanes, busses, etc. Add in booze and drug and it's even more wear and tear on you.
He looks pretty good though. He was packing on the pounds for awhile.

It was body language. He simulated someone sticking a needle in their arm, while he was mentioning Page and Swan Song records.

Give Billy credit on this interview for trying to make sense of Ritchie's rambling. Ritchie's brain seems fried. Billy asked a simple question about when he knew things were changing with their popularity in the early days and he just can't seem to verbalize the answer, then starts talking about Kid Rock randomly which had no relevance to the question.

I felt like Ritchie was referring to Bob Rock and Billy mistakenly thought he was talking about Kid “Bob” Rock. They both were confused and confusing.
