Was the Doctor by Doobies a reunion?
Regardless I can say with confidence that Planes by Jefferson Airplane was a fucking horrible reunion single.
Seriously, how does We Built This City get so much hate when Planes not only exists, but was shat out by the classic lineup?

I completely forgot about that song and just looked it up after reading your post. Holy shit! I forgot just how awful that song is.

"I love planes! Jet aircraft!" isn't a horrible song, IMO, but Mickey's Starship put out "It's Not Enough" as a single around the same month in '89, and that song pretty much kicks "Planes" arse by a country mile.

Oh fuck yeah. Perfect Strangers is my favorite song they've ever released. Epic.

Mattley on point as usual but I was going to say the first single, "if i die tomorrow" was an awesome reunion song. Was different for them but a great song.

Definitely the Deep Purple singles that were mentioned.
I like the title track, "Psycho Circus", and "into the Void", but the Psycho Circus album was largely bad, plus it was done after the Reunion tour.
"Owner of a Lonely Heart", "Leave It" and the other singles from 90215 were good, but Yes had only been broken up for two or three years, plus the reunion might not be considered complete by some.
Most reunions seem to happen without any new release, or with a new song or album that is extremely forgettable.

Skunk Anansie - Because of You
Life of Agony - Love To Let You Down
Hanoi Rocks - People Like Me
Suede - It Starts and Ends With You
The Original 7ven (The Time) - #Trendin
fdeluxe (The Family) - Gaslight
Heart - Oldest Story In the World
I don't know if Telephone Line by Psychotica would count, it was a cover on the Black Dahlia ep. They did do a cover of I Will Survive right before that as well. I was just happy to hear anything from Mr. Briggs again. Unfortunately...

Good point. I remember it being a 4 year haitus more than anything and not bad blood.
But what a comeback sound, image and music video.

I would never have thought of Planes, but I saw it once in 1989 and it was so odd and horrible I still remember it to this day. Didnt their reunion fizzle out right away? Was it because this was so bad?

Alice In Chains “Check My Brain” if that counts as a reunion.
They’re not really a Sludge band but I was really impressed with the “Midnight Messiah” single from the new Dream Theater album. The chorus is quite infectious.

How about reunion singles that were actually written by the band?
As much as I don't mind the songs, that would throw out the efforts from Ratt and Motley. Dunno if outside writers were used on the Psycho Circus single.
I think probably the two that stick out to me Bernie nailed in the first post, Me Wise Magic and Perfect Strangers.
I'll also throw a vote at Bible Black. Might not be as good as the previous Dio led singles, but it was far better than anything they came up with from Ozzy.
