I don't get the Weezer hate on this board. Yea, they aren't Hair Metal, but Rivers loves metal & I think that come across in a lot of their music. Plus, he's a great guitarist, an even better songwriter & has released a ton of music.

We played this song at one gig, the guitarist wanted to play it as a tribute to his friend that died. It's good, but not one of my favourites from the band.

I haven't noticed weezer hate, but obviously any band that was part of the 80s hair metal downfall is going to get hated on here. I love me some Weezer.

I played this once in a cover gig, the only thing I remember is that the guitarist didn't realize the song was tuned down so he learned it by ear in standard tuning. And I didn't realize until the song started. That was fun.

I vaguely remember the band ZOOM, but didn't know it was River and the Weezer guys until way later.

There are a few images of him with long hair as well...

I never hated the band but wasn't really a fan either... I can admit, some GREAT songs and the "Hash Pipe" song's riff... is BAD ASS as F#@K!

The solo legit rips, probably the peak of Rivers' chops before he completely dumped that style of playing. Although I don't know how much of that is Rivers and how much is the other guy (Michael Stanton).
