zero percent chance they're NOT planning on playing all of these A markets...but does anyone have any inside info as to potentially WHEN? will it be stadiums again in good weather next spring/summer, or multiple nights in arenas this fall/winter?

If it’s true that these coliseum dates aren’t selling well, I have a feeling this will be all she wrote for them in the U.S.

They’ve sort of taken on the Stones/Metallica model of only doing two or three gigs a week and I think part of that model relies on being able to fill giant venues in order to remain profitable. Doubt they can do that with arenas, and if this tour didn’t do great numbers, they’re not likely to sell another leg at this level?

Asking in case someone with actual industry knowledge wants to tell me I’m way off, because I very well could be.

every single US date is sold out or VERY close to sold out...i think youre confused by the imbeciles on this board who assume a tour is failing because get in prices on the secondary market are low, when those tickets have already been SOLD

One other thing I'd mention, regardless of how many tickets sell for how much, they are going to do ASTRONOMICAL numbers in merch. The merch might keep the tour afloat by itself. If they do downsize, they're going to cut into those numbers as well.

The last time I saw my show (Rose Bowl) on TM a couple weeks ago there was quite a sea of standard ticket blue dots in the bowl seating and it’s still nowhere close to sold out but it’s looking a little more respectable now. If people here said the tour was tanking I probably had some confirmation bias and assumed other shows weren’t close to selling out either.

For what it's worth the Gillette Stadium show has less than 50 tickets left and they are $420. (Unless there is something wrong with the TM site)

I see also that there are no "verified resale" tix on Ticketmaster for AC/DC. The other 2nd party outlets have them starting at around $130 a piece for the stink seats, which is way too much, imo. I've seen them 5 or so times over the years, it's on a Sunday night/gotta work Monday & it could be cold and/or rainy, so I'm all set.

I mentioned in the other thread, Soldier Field was completely sold out except for one ticket the other night. So they'll make their money here, and I'm sure would be the same way in NY, Philly and LA. Atlanta would be a stretch.

Most of those cities suck.

Just fly to Vegas to see them in a couple of weeks.

But it's 90% sold. It's gotta be already in the black. At least it's not at SoFi. And a lot of people I know went all in on Power Trip which was basically AC/DC and 5 support acts spread out over 3 days. They did lower the price slightly on the rear tickets, they still trickle out floors and lower levels and seem to be still selling them.

I am thinking they are doing one leg at a time but when I saw the tour dates I figured they might do another leg.

They are doing the Stones model 14 or so shows at a time in the biggest places they book and LA/NYC isn't always going to get a show. Most stadium tours are booked a year in advance but Stones and probably now AC/DC sell them as close as they possibly can. They still gotta do Australia.

I remember in Jan 2020 someone on another board saying they had an Australian tour booked "next summer" which would be Dec 2020/Jan 2021 and I thought it sounded kinda sus but then Power Up dropped during lockdown.

They can do fall or they can do next year if they feel up to it. NYC / SD / Phil, maybe a rock fest here or there, they can just do Vegas again because shows there are all tourists, the locals don't go anywhere near the strip and it's one of the 2 most instant sellout with most expensive aftermarket tickets.

Sucks for SoCal... no AC/DC and now an earthquake! Hope everybody is OK.

Sounds like the worst was San Diego, but might as well move the Rainbow Bar & Grill celebration to Fremont Street to be safe.

Every rockstar lives here now anyway.

They are playing the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, just outside LA.

Leave it to the guy who averages 3.7 concerts a day to know what’s up! DM me if you’re on the floor at Rose Bowl. It’s gonna be a fun night.

What I don't get is the opening act situation. The Pretty Reckless? Is it safe to say that's a buy on? Or a favor to a manager?

They could have some way better acts open up and make it more interesting of a show.

I don't get why these bands want to play so long either. They could get away with an 80-minute set. It just gets boring after that long. Cut Rock and Roll Train and a bunch of others. They can still get the same money. Throw on a few openers to "buy on". Angus going to have a heart attack up there.

Pretty Reckless is a shitload better than who they had last time, in Vintage Trouble. Had anyone actually heard of them, before or since, 2015?

They were kinda popular locally, among geezers who still go to club shows. Not the kind of people who would pay to see any band in a stadium though.

What's your site(s) for "seat views"?
I ask as I went to the Boston Bruins hockey game last night on a whim. While the seats I got had a good "view", there was a railing & a clear plastic guard in my sightline. Honestly, when i sat down I thought "this sucks" but I quickly got used to it & didn't really notice it, but I wouldn't buy those seats again.

I don't even mess with that. For this show the perfect seat for me would be right behind the PA. I actually wandered into that Bernie AOC event Saturday, saw a big speaker and just stood there. Still have no idea where they put the stage but got a great recording of Neil Young. Plastic guard would be really bad for sound, might tempt fate and hang the mics over them.

https://aviewfrommyseat.com/ seems to be the best site for seats views.
