NBA PLAYOFFS ... We're set for the NBA Finals! The Indiana Pacers Vs: Oklahoma City Thunder

Post by MetalSludgeCEO »

I am rooting for the Lakers... and last night they tied it up with Minnesota... 1-1.

Game #3 in Minnesota on Friday.

I have a little love for Indiana as well, as their Super Star Tyrese Haliburton is a hometown kid from Oshkosh... making it big in the NBA.

I can't in my memory recall any Oshkosh native residents making it this big in pro sports, so kudos to this kid! However, he went to our cross-town rivals, Oshkosh North, while I graduated from Oshkosh West.

Who ya got?

On paper, the Celtics are far too stacked for anyone to hang with them in a 7 game series. We'll see if they show up with the desire to repeat & if the NBA agrees to it.

WNBA is the real show- drama- jealousy envy of the chick that brings everything
NBA is over and boring to watch

OKC going win over Boston in 5
NBA should script Warriors win- that’s the ideal script
Only thing exciting about Round 1 is Bronny minutes
Jani Lane and Bret Michaels should form a band called "Nelson II"

Celtics/Thunder in the Finals are my picks. Wild to see the Bucks down 0-2. Not sold on Doc Rivers as coach.

LeBron and Luka could be a pretty dangerous duo if the Lakers can get past Minnesota. They have their flaws, but they're still a pretty strong team right now. Celtics are looking like a major force, though, so we'll see.

F Leflop and the Lakers. Barring injuries and as long as the Celtics don't implode, it's theirs for the taking.

I was rooting for the Lakers to win it all just because that was a stupid trade by Nico Harrison and wanted to see Luka win the title to piss him off.

He's still a fat-fat-fattie though and needs to come back in great shape next year, with or without LeBron.

I'll root for my old home team the Timberwolves to win it now. Minneapolis has nothing else going for it, so they could use a reason to keep living up there.

And Jayson just got seriously hurt, too. Celtics just might be done unless Brown, Horford, and Porzingis can step up and pull off something big.

WWE refs more believable than NBA refs
NBA draft lottery is sports entertainment
NBA should just come out and expose the bustiness it’s all scripted

NBA doesn’t even hide it anymore  it’s all entertainment  Mavericks most “shady” trade ever..now wins lottery with 1.5% chance getting the new Larry Bird

NBA is a joke
Thank God for WNBA season- that s real- real jealousy- all players want the only megastar to fail

He's out for all of next season & probably 1/2 of the 2027 season. The Celtics were just sold & they are due to take a 1/2 a billion, with a b, luxury tax hit if they don't shed salary. They have got 5 guys that make over $20 mil per & 2 of them make over $50. Other than Tatum, it wouldn't surprise me if the new Celtics ownership aren't listening to offers on anyone, including Jaylen Brown. Also, don't be shocked if they make a deal to move up in this years draft to get one of the 2 top guys.
With all that said, they still have a good enough team to beat the Knicks 3 straight.

Has Minnesota woke up from their sleep?

They got DESTROYED in both games at OKC, but tonight... they are returning the favor, up by 30 ish, at half!

As for NY and INDY, I am torn... kinda want the Knicks, but... that kid from Indy is from my hometown, so I have to root for him as well!

I have a feeling the Knicks are going to have a rough go in Indy tonight. Thibs using a 7-8 rotation is killing his teams changes. Carlisle uses 10 guys most nights to keep his guys fresh.

And the final is set! Who ya got? SGA and the Thunder or Tyrese and the Pacers? I’m not big on either team, but since Tyrese is getting the WWE bump right now I’ll root for Indy. Make Reggie proud!

Right... but... you can't feel sorry for these coaches... esp at that level...

Just googled and pulled this up!

--------------------------------------

Tom Thibs contract knicks yearly salary

According to reports, Tom Thibodeau's initial contract with the New York Knicks, which he signed in 2020, was a
five-year deal worth $40 million. This means his average yearly salary under that contract was $8 million.
However, the Knicks and Thibodeau agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $30 million on July 24, 2024, that would have run through the 2027-28 season. This extension was tied for the highest average annual value of his career, with the previous four-year contract he signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Despite the extension, Thibodeau was reportedly fired by the Knicks on June 3, 2025, with sources indicating the team still owes him at least $30 million in guaranteed money from the extension. Spotrac also reported the Knicks will pay this as a buyout before the extension even kicked in.

DAMN!
