An expanded and remastered edition of the live album was released on 14 March 2025 by The Orchard Records, with the title simplified to Live at the Greek.

This version adds the Black Crowes songs that were omitted from the original addition, plus several more Led Zeppelin songs and blues standards performed during the concerts in 1999.

I gave it a listen on Spotify and made a new playlist out of it. Good stuff from both bands catalog to be heard.

That was a cool show. The Cult played with them at my date in Raleigh

Def good stuff. I purchased the CD because my son has a pretty good sound system in his car and only listens to CD's. Audrey Free in also with them on this tour, who I always preferred. Did you know that? Also, Sven, who's currently out w' them now. Can't help but to think of how Rich fucked up the whole possibility of doing more. "Nah we're good, Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin. We don't need any outside song writers".

According to Steve Gorman's book, Jimmy was so pleased with playing with the Crows that he asked Rich Robinson about them making an album together and Rich's answer was basically "Nah, we're good."

The whole JP chapter in Steve’s book is a trip. I guess time heals all wounds but the revisionist history that Chris is doing with the JP rerelease is very much on par with the corporate/Live Nation Crowes of today. Chris being interviewed around the time Lions was reaped back in 2001:

NYROCK:

It must have been unbelievable playing with Page.

CHRIS:

It was probably more fun for the other people. I didn't really have that much fun doing it. I mean it was all right and Jimmy's a phenomenal guitarist, but to me it was just a job. I'm not a big fan of Robert Plant's lyrics or his singing, so that part of it was a little boring for me.

Translation: "Of all the classic rock bands that we blatantly ripped off, i liked Led Zeppelin the least."

What I don't get is why they couldn't put any Crowes songs on the original release. I know they signed a bad deal and were on a different label by then and probably didn't own the songs at the time. The only thing I can think of is maybe Rubin or whoever owned the songs was asking for too much money. My knowledge of the music industry is limited to about 10 different books I've read over the years, but it seems to me that as long as the royalties are paid to the rightsholder, anyone can record and release a song. Does the CEO or anyone else have any insight into this?
