Is this one of those "yeah, duh" things that I'm somehow 35 years later to the party on?

People must've immediately noticed this when CP was released, yeah? Somehow I can't recall ever hearing this mentioned until recently.

I saw an interview with Jerry Allen where it was brought up and Jerry was like "what? no", so I looked it up and it's clearly true.

To go one step further, Jimmy Chalfant, Steve Whiteman, and Kip Winger are all credited with backing vocals on the Love Is For Suckers album. It's probably Dee, but I could convince myself it's Kip.

Thoughts?

It's from the intro of the track "I Want This Night (To Last Forever)" on the "Love Is For Suckers" album.

Can Dee take the mantle of "The Cherry Pie Guy" now, so Jani's legacy can rest in peace?

I'm very familiar with both songs and I never knew this! But, when I read the title I knew EXACTLY what it was about & I heard it in my head.

Beau Hill produced both records. I'm sure he was just like "dude, you know what would go great here???"

I wonder if Dee/beau gets paid whenever the song is played?
