Axl was cool and calm. Can you imagine what this incident would have sounded like back in the day?

Yeah, Axl was pretty chill.
Drummer wasn't wrong - they're on a click and he was playing Brownstone at the right BPM. Tracks playlist must have been out of order.

I don’t know…. I’ve heard bands play the wrongs songs before and they laugh it off. Axl was not laughing.
Adler is polishing up his cowbell as we speak.

I have heard from a few sources, including someone who was IN THE BAND... that the set-list is NEVER the same. Among other first-hand stories.
Also... I was told, that Axl rarely announces the song for all to hear and usually only tells the person who is starting that next song.
At times it seems, that everything is literally hanging by a thread, lol...
I am sure Isaac was a bit nervous, as you can see in the video Axl is literally standing right in front of the drum riser staring at him when this happened.
"Can Isaac NOT hear me!?!"
Poor guy... but we can only hope that at some point Axl told him "Don't worry kid, it's all good" after the fact.

That's what it sounded like live in the arena. It was the second song. You can't hear Axl talking to the band at all, which is interesting. I had no clue they could do that without it going over the PA.

Yup... it's most likely ALL in their in-ear monitors, or the monitors on the stage.
The crowd has NO CLUE what it truly sounds like on stage... and often, it's night and day from what you hear out front! Especially in bigger arena or stadium shows.
For those who don't know, these are ALL different mixes too. The house sound is one thing, but all of the monitors are often ALL completely different. Same with the side-fills.
The drummer's monitors are one mix, the guitarist has another, bassist, keyboards, and so on.
Myself as a singer, I want nothing in my monitors, other than my voice.
And even at the club level, most decent / quality P.A. systems have the ability to do this... and often during shows, the soundman can talk to the band in their monitors, but it's not in the P.A. system out front.

He wasn't laughing but he also wasn't pitching a fit and throwing his mic to the ground and proclaiming "the new drummer sucks and I'm going home!"

Go on YouTube there is some incredible material on there from the show from Japan. You can hear the IEM from the band and hear Axl. They call out a couple songs because Axl talks into the mic and he can talk to the band during the song. It is really interesting and awesome. Last night I went through listening to the whole show and it was absolutely incredible to hear them behind the scenes

There was a guy who used to do sound for my old cover band who used to fuck with us (and every other band he worked with) by singing intentionally off-key backing vocals and hurling insults at us in the monitors while we were playing. Midnight Joe was his name. Guy was a fucking trip lol.

i want vocals, my guitar and a little bit of the second guitar. I stand next Val's bass rig and its hot enough in my zone along with the drummers. I am not a fan of IEM's, i get ear infections too easy and using them makes it worse.
