Kelly Hanson to leave Fauxeigner

Post by NeonKnite »

Last night on the US TV show “The Voice” Foreigner announced the long time lead singer Kelly Hansen would be leaving the band after their upcoming summer tour. Taking his place will be current Foreigner guitarist Luis Maldonado. Luis recently fronted the band on their tour of South America.
For two decades Kelly has be a strong replacement for original singer Lou Gramm.

Kelly's sounded like he was ready to be done for a while, but Mick wants to keep them on the road.

He's almost 65, can't say I blame him.

Do the right thing and give Lou his band back!

Hopefully Kelly can give the fans what we want a Hurricane tour!

Despite his tenure and good job for over 20 years, Kelly is not Foreigner. No one up there is. I really don't understand why one would see a band like that and not consider them a tribute act. The Music of Foreigner. Is anyone excited about seeing them anywhere besides your local strip mall bar? That's where they belong.

I'm sure there are ass hats walking around insisting that this is the best Foreigner line-up ever.

Just like that ass hat Rising Farce does with the most recent version of KISS.

They should just go ahead and dump Hansen. The new guy is better anyway. Just keep Lou on for the encores.

Poor Jeff Pilsen looks like his legs are gonna break in half when he’s running around up there. Doesn’t look healthy.. Them twigs are gonna snap lol. Hopefully, he’s OK.

Even though Hanson is scab, at least the band seemed anchored by him and Pilson as far being a legit rock band. These younger guys from the American Idol/The Voice/America's Got Talent generation, lack that "intangible" you get from the experience of actually playing in a (garage, bar, club) "band".
