I like the record. I think is Nuno's best playing in a record.
On the other hand, Cherone is pretty awful live. Off key half of the time.

Sucked. None of these "hair grunge" albums worked out.

Not good.

I think Hip Today and There is No God are as good as anything that's in their catalog. The rest of the album I don't remember at the moment, I'd have to go back and listen to it.

It is sooo bad.

Totally forgettable.

Worth the price of admission for “Midnight Express” alone.

Always loved the chorus of “Shadow Boxing” as well. And “Unconditionally” probably would have been a monster hit if it was on III Sides.

I like it quite a bit. They seem tired and uninspired more than "lets do a grunge album".

For some reason, there's a charm to that.

As mentioned, it absolutely IS some of Nuno's guitar work. Unconditionally is a beautiful song too, imo.

My least favorite Extreme cd and it was my least favorite tour.

Didn't like the grunge.

Less funk.

I like "Hip Today". I really like "Unconditionally". The rest doesn't really do it for me.

Mike Mangini played drums on "Hip Today", "Leave Me Alone" and "No Respect". Paul Geary played on the other tracks.

Although Mangini is the most technical of the three drummers in Extreme, I thought he wasn't a good fit. Geary's simpler drumming fit the band. My favorite Extreme drummer is Kevin Figueiredo. He's heavy and has the best feel.

Paul Geary was uninspired. After recording his drum parts for all but three of the songs, Nuno questioned him, asking if he was into the music and Paul said no. Paul wanted to focus on band management instead, so he quit and was replaced by Mike Mangini.

I think everyone is still waiting.

Anyone know why they didn't call it "Waiting IV The Punchline" or "Waiting 4 The Punchline" or some such shit?

III Sides was a great album. Everything before or since had a few moments but was largely 'eh'.

I couldn't stand "More Than Words" and still can't. They got pigeon hold with that and never got another chance.
