This doesn't sound good. When you Google Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH), it doesn't appear to be something that resolves completely and the common treatment of a shunt in the skull to relieve pressure on the brain is no laughing matter.

Yeah that sucks. Even best-case scenario and it’s reversible after a year of treatment he’ll be 77-78 by the time he could get back out there.
Took my mom to see him at SoFi in March 2023 and he still sounded great. Glad I saw him while I still could. Maybe I’m wrong but the past few years for him seemed to be his best in a long time touring-wise. He seemed happy, in good shape, etc.

Splurged for a pair of 5th row seats that last time he was here in Pittsburgh. I'd seen him a half dozen other times, and always an amazing show, but wanted to be close for at least once.

Jesus. I don’t want to ask how much but I’ll go ahead and assume. I snatched a pair of third row center lower bowl for under face value day of my show and they were still almost $400 apiece.

They were $400 and change at the time. Not dead center, off to the side a bit but still close. Bucket list item.SterileEyes1 wrote: ↑Fri May 23, 2025 8:52 am Jesus. Did the same for Metallica in 2018. Splurge one time for great seats just to experience it up close.

He's touring with Steve Nicks and was coming to my city. Sad news and I hope he pulls through ok.

Lots of big stadium shows here with big names like Rod Stewart, Sting, Stevie Nicks. This is serious. I wish Billy well. At least he's got the money to get the best care imaginable.
I hate to be all gloom & doom, but all of these guys plus Bruce, Paul McCartney, Elton, Manilow, The Rolling Stones, you name it...these guys are all in their 70's and 80's now. Their music has been such a big part of our lives, we don't want to see them go.
