Derringer Dead

Reports flowing in on Facebook that Rick Derringer died on Saturday.
I've seen him a few times and he always put on a great show. I hope its fake.

Nothing about it that I can see yet. If he died, I assume Weird Al would have said something.

However, I did find this nugget...he's apparently selling his CDs on his website. Nothing odd about that, right?

Except, he's selling them for FIFTY DOLLARS, and after taxes and fees, they're SIXTY EIGHT. SIXTY EIGHT FUCKING DOLLARS FOR A RICK DERRINGER CD.

Yeah, now all the Wrestling sites are chiming in, since he did Hulk Hogan's theme. Didn't realize he was 77.

Those were terrific. Back in the day when boobies went unsheathed (and the women were naturally fit).

Also, I had totally forgotten that Rick Derringer also produced Weird Al's first six albums and did the solo on "Eat It" until Al paid tribute just a short while ago.

I also never knew that the reason he was on the wrestling album was because he played on Cyndi Lauper's records.
