Motorhead. Yes, Lemmy's voice was unique. It just wasn't very good.
Britny Fox. Worse than boiled cats.

White Lion. Worst singer in hair metal that had any success.
BÖC. Not bad just lacking something that stands out.

Lemmy's voice fitted Motorhead's music. I can't imagine them with a Joey Belladonna type.

Have decent vocals that weren't so nasal.

BOC didn't have a true frontman. They were all virtuosic musicians who took turns at the mic.

Incorrect. I assume only reason they had any success was the looks of Mike Tramp.

As much as I like them and Steve Whiteman, Kix would have done better with a less muppet-assed singer.

I’d give that honor to RATT.

Well, White Lion without Mike Tramp would never have existed. He put the band together and wrote the songs with Vito. Vito Bratta in a different band....now there's an interesting thought!

Tramp was a Springsteen/Dylan wannabe writing acoustic, political songs when he met Vito. So WL as we know it was at least as much Vito's creation. When The Children Cry was one of those early songs according to Mike himself.
And yes Vito in a different band would have been interesting. Or even as a sideman to say Vince Neil, Ozzy or Roth in the 90s instead of SS, Holmes or Becker.

I like the band and Jeff Martin was a good singer for them. They just didn't have a hit song in them. Everyone did better in later bands.

That's Scholz's overproduction... no grit, no edge.

Bang Tango might have danced over coals all the way to the bank with a different singer in that era.

Only on Sludge would someone say a band that sold like a billion records with one of the greatest ever rock vocalists would have been better with another singer.
Why not add Journey, Zeppelin and Queen to the list while we’re at it?

Good call. The best song on that album was sang by Coogan.
London singing all but guaranteed that album would suck and flop.

Massive Dream Theater nutswinger here but I've often wondered if they would've done better with a different singer. But, they've done incredibly well despite James as the singer.
