It's unfortunate that the US does not have a reasonable policy for Euthanasia. It's not the family's unwillingness to consider it, it's there's no pathway to making that decision once the person with dementia/Alzheimer's is in the midst of living with it.

Wait just a minute here. I don’t have Alzheimer’s yet I just want a R2-D2 that gives handjobs. AI has to have some meaning some benefit something monumental. And that’s how I’m hoping it plays out.
