3 Sides of the Coin. This podcast is annoying.

I've had this suggested on my YouTube feed lately.

They have some interesting guests and topics, but this is how it seems to go:

One of the hosts asks a question that's more of a statement to repeat some nugget of fan lore that's been told a million times over the years.

The guest responds with a behind-the-scenes perspective that doesn't fully align with the fan lore. Then the host doubles down with some version of "yeah, but..."

Then the other two hosts take their turn, using slightly different words to repeat the same question so they can show they're "knowledgeable" fans too.

Everyone goes around in circles, wasting the guest's time.

I click off podcast.

I've tried to watch a couple of times in the past. Seems like 90 minutes of wanking while talking over one another. Told YouTube not to recommend anymore.

Have they discussed the new biopic that is rumored, starring Joe Jonas as Paul? JFC, no one will watch that if it gets made. I always have to say I was THE definition of a KISStard from age 11 to my late 30s. In the last 20 years, this is the only place I see or hear what they're up to.

Tommy Sommers, of the podcast, is one of most unknowledgeable rock guys you'll ever meet & I have hung out with him
He's the prototype Kiss nerd as outside of them, he doesnt keep up with any bands

They get good guests.

The main guy Branvold is insufferable to listen to.

Everything out of his mouth is slow and deliberate like he is making an incredible statement about something. Everything. Like it's going to be the most important thing you have ever heard. It's infuriating to listen to.
He comes across as a total asshole as well.

Haven't listened in years despite the cool guests they have.

The other two guys are ok, I guess.

I’ve not bothered, once I read all but Paul’s bios I lost interest for the longest time.
In another thread I saw yesterday, someone mentioned the Ikons release.
I found it on Spotify and listened in the truck today.
Into the Void is shithouse, all the other tunes I’ve heard so far I heard for the first time in my early teens, I can’t really tell if they are shit or not, I worshipped the band back then, and the memories they evoke in me are of fun times.

I haven't listened to it yet, but the guitar player in my band loves this podcast.

Brandvold must be a great guy, he's putting on tomorrow's W.A.S.P. show in France!
