A Hairband You Hated Or Were Indifferent To In The 80s
Only to become a fan later on at some point.
For me it was Europe. I didn’t hate them but could take or leave them back in the 80s. I never rushed out to buy their shit. I think I bought Out of This World in the cassette cutout bin in 1990.
Now they are a favorite of mine. They are way better than many of the hacks on the American side of it like Motley Crue, Ratt, Dokken and Twisted Sister.
King’s X was another. I didn’t like Doug’s voice even though I recognized their talent and liked many of their songs. Over the years I’ve collected all their shit on cd and streaming. I still don’t know either bands discography as well as I should and I’ve never seen either live. But I listen to them more now instead of lame, low rent, watered down attempts at being KISS like Shout At The Devil

I always disliked Extreme and D.A.D. and really tried but failed to like Krokus and White Lion.

Oops. I should have read the original post and not just the headline. Nothing happened, I still don't like those bands!pieceofme wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 5:48 amWhat changed and why do you like them now?Love_Industry wrote: ↑Wed Jun 11, 2025 5:18 am I always disliked Extreme and D.A.D. and really tried but failed to like Krokus and White Lion.

I absolutely couldn't get into Dokken back in the day, now I think they are ok (although IMO, a "greatest hits/best of" CD is still more than enough)........

I was never much of an Aerosmith fan at the time (from around when Permanent Vacation came out onwards) but I've been playing the shit out of them this year, watched a ton of concerts and loved all of it, all eras. I think it was hearing Draw The Line on a playlist that pulled me in.

That’s interesting. I was the opposite. I loved them from Permanent Vacation through Just Push Play. Went back and got all the 70s stuff and had the box set when it was released in 91. But I checked out in the 00s
