Great day today with Load boxset coming out.
Almost 21 hours of content.
Awesome album! Blasting Ronnie right now.
Load and Reload was the right direction for the band. Wish they would put out another album like this.

Certainly better than what came after them.
Loved them back in the day. Never have the urge to listen to either album these days.

Is it possible to have too many Metallica shirts?

Load and awesome are two words I never have and will never use congruently.

There are some cool songs on it.
I've always liked "Ain't My Bitch," though seeing that title as track 1 of the new Metallica was concerning at the time.
I thought "Until it Sleeps" was a cool single. Not a go-to Metallica tune, but I still think it's alright.
My most controversialest
Load opinion: "Mama Said" is the best song on the album.
Overall: A lot of filler; songs are generally too long.
A masterpiece compared to
ReLoad. Worse than
St. Anger, worse than Michael Jordan/Jackson!

Is that why my music taste sucks (aside from only listening to only country now)?
I loved Reload, but maybe because it was the first Metallica album I listened to (since it came out during my teen years).
I'd always have the "DJ" crank up Unforgiven II on Friday nights at Thunder Alley (bowling) since that's all we had for fun in Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

I love the Black Album, same thing. I was just about a teenager when it came out. But there are dudes here who think that album totally blows.
I like country now too, I wonder if "Mama Said" was my gateway.

I really like Mama Said too. I hate to admit this, but that song almost brought me to tears a couple of times when things weren't going so well. The Outlaw Torn is a great song as well. I thought that it was a perfect way to end the album. Great fade out. It kind of has that ...to be continued feeling to it. Unfortunately the continuation was ReLoad. Definitely prefer Load to the Black Album.
Did they include the porno of Lars standing on his drum throne receiving oral from Hammet in the box set?

Load and Reload are fine for what they are - middle-of-the-road “gateway to hard rock” albums for kids getting in rock and roll and hardcore Metallica fans. Not worth of any critical acclaim, but they get the job done.
Kind of like 70s Kiss, except a few of the songs are good.

I prefer ReLoad actually. I hope they do the same for ReLoad

Pretty much this. Listening to it right now for the first time in years. It's a decent album if you forget that a band called Metallica revolutionised the metal scene in the 1980s, or you imagine that this album was by another band, that debuted with The Black Album in 1990. But I'm up to track 6, Hero of the Day, and struggling to stay actively listening to it and not go off do so something else whilst the other 8 songs carry on playing in the background.

I was lucky enough to see Metallica in the 80s. They weren’t the same band once they crossed over with TBA. They were a dead and bloated carcass of their once former glory.
I guess you had to be there.

It's like Hot in the Shade. Not only is it not that great, there's way too much of it. Trim it down to the best 10 and it's probably better. At lease you can remember all the songs.
