I think she gets a lot of traction out of what she has to offer, both visually and music-wise.

Yep, the "girl next door who happens to rip on guitar" look was her best. Still like her tho, she's pretty cool

I've seen her live, she's entertaining & skilled, for certain. Not sure about her music, the only blues I listen to is when I have to learn it.

I've seen her a couple times, first at the Belly Up in Solana Beach, then in Seattle at the Slash SERPENT festival (I missed Eric Gales due to some scheduling fuduckery which I'm still bummed about)

I got to meet and talk to her at the Belly Up, I got in line to buy a t-shirt and she was doing the merch herself (which I totally didn't expect).

She signed my shirt, I knew she was from Kansas City so we talked BBQ and then I asked her about War Pigs, she was impressed I knew about that haha (metal fans unite!!)

Her music is lightweight, very average, leave this kind of music to the men.

I hate the rocker image on women, always have, deeply unattractive and usually a red flag for a psycho/mentally ill/slag.

To be honest I've seen her without makeup and yeah, it's a bit of a let down. I just think there are enough sexy/attractive things about her that I can give her a pass on that. One thing she could do is maybe move on from the Rock n Roll Alice Kramden look. She really benefits from longer hair but I guess it's not my call.

She's a pretty great guitar player (especially live) if you don't require a bunch of shreddy/finger-tappy garbage. And again, her voice is pretty great. She doesn't indulge in a lot of American Idol-style over singing. Just very soulful and expressive.

This is a weird take. When I see a movie/show with Laurence Fishburne I don't immediately think 'wow, I wonder if he has a smelly (or burning) dong'
