Ivan is a fun and personable dude. Saw them last summer on the Totally Tubular 80s package shed tour. Probably the best set of the night and a fan favorite for sure.

Men without Hats was probably one of the most surprising live gigs I’ve seen. I didn’t expect much and they basically stole the show.

Fun song. Not earth shattering but probably exactly what they should be doing in 2025.

ETA: Sarah Sloan rocks a mini dress quite fabulously.

Yeah, not a comeback song but what you'd expect from a band that essentially had 2 US hits. I dig that they embrace their era rather than crap on it and complain about fans only wanting to hear Safety Dance (even though that's what they want to hear).

100% this. I was absolutely blown away.

Fun song..not sure I'd seek it out, but if it came on the radio i'd definitely turn it up.....and would be a prefect addition to the set

I'll echo most other above with yea, MWH were excellent live, a lot of fun. The opened AND closed with Safety Dance!

Ya, the show we saw, opened with Safety Dance....then at end he says, "we have one more song, sorry but we have to play a new song you haven't' heard yet". Played some weird intro, then broke into a little faster version of Safety dance. Place went nuts...

Same. When they opened with it, I was like WOAH...right out of the gate. Then they closed with the "extended mix" and some of the other bands came out behind the backline and danced around. Here's a remake version of Pop Goes The World they did a few years ago in a rehearsal room. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMTJNot3oV0

I got to this post before I realized we weren’t talking about Men At Work

Wow, normally that kind of nostalgic throwback isn't my thing at all, in fact I hate nostalgia but I really enjoyed that.

Not bad at all.

Safety Dance has held up amazingly well for me btw. It's verging on "heavy" in a weird way.

Only the singer. Sahara Sloan is the singer's niece, I think, and daughter of a former original member. She isn't old enough to be an original. In her early 40s, I believe. I thought the drummer might be, but apparently not.

Two... Ivan and his brother Colin are originals.

Anyone heard their hard rock-leaning record from 1991?
The guitars were starting to creep into the two albums prior (but they kept the sound based in synth-pop).
It's not half bad... You can tell they were inspired to write a rock album (as opposed to jumping on the hair metal bandwagon), but you can tell they were just a tad out of their depth ditching the synths almost entirely.
