Steve Tyler is 77 years old?!

How the fuck does a 77 year old longtime drug user look that good, perform that good, and sound that good, all while being supposedly being unable to tour anymore due to ruined vocal cords?

He probably underestimated his recovery abilities. Hopefully he, too, can round up his bandmates for one more show.

Fuck, I would rather he got with Page and Paul Jones and did shows with them! Tom Hamilton can suck it, that troublemaker!

Aerosmith should just continue on with Kik
Tracee singer in 2026. Aerosmith already has Kik Tracee drummer
I saw that residency show in Vegas with that drummer. I got free ticket to that show somehow- I think homeless person gave it to me

We give homeless people everything EXCEPT money now in Vegas.

Yeah, he probably can't sing the highs anymore or scream like he used, maybe for a couple of songs but even here you could even tell it was Nuno trying to sing the high vocals in "Walk This Way" at the end.
Still, gives you hope of him doing more shows in the future because he clearly CAN still sing.

As long as you don't give them their first demanded amount; they don't work for any of the casinos, so use the Mazda Mattley Negotiation Method and give them whatever you want.
Don't forget about the Chippendales on Fremont Street though either! That's how people keep more money to refuse to give to homeless people.
I miss the over-the-hill nun in her wheelchair with her breasts hanging out, and then the drunk dancing grandpa the most. I think he died.

You're still smarter than the average Kisstard at a meet and greet.

legitimately...if you just saw steven's silhouette from the sabbath show, you could easily convince someone that its footage from the 70s/80s
his body/frame, hair, the way hes still able to move, and most importantly how he sounded, is absolutely fucking mind blowing

It's the SOS... he got it together for a 3-song set, BFD. That doesn't equal a tour.

These older guys are all heavy on the peptides, sauna and hyperbaric chamber. Plus, a very solid stiulant to hit the stage with for clarity and energy. Tyler, McCartney and Jagger are easily in the 5% of people that age who can move like that at that age level.

I wonder if Aerosmith could have pulled off the farewell tour if they had better managed Tyler's vocal workload. Let him sing most of the songs, but with an extra vocalist or vocalist/keyboardist doubling/covering his vocals and maybe taking over the higher parts and screams. I think people would have been OK with it, especially if the band was open about what they were doing. Billy Joel has had a guy in his band playing this kind of role for years, and I haven't heard much complaining about it. Anyway, it could be that even in a reduced role Tyler's voice might not have been able to handle a dozen or so full sets per month. We'll probably never know.

I think they were already sort of doing that, at least with multiple background singers on stage with the band.

""""""""""""""""or is he good for a few songs but not a full set and tour?"""""""""""""""""
My guess is pretty much this.
Knocking it out a few gigs a month, here n' there... sure.
But, if he had to do a run of 20-25 or more shows over a 5-6 week run... that's where the challenge is.

I've always wondered how his hair is thicker now than in 1982? It looks real.

Money, hair dye, cosmetic surgeries, good genes, living in Hawaii, and an insanely strict diet and exercise regimen all help I’m sure.
The cocaine I’m sure didn’t help him.
But the thing that’ll make people roll their eyes is the plain fact that he was never a heavy drinker or smoker, and those two drugs will age you (and your voice) worse than most drugs other than crack or meth.
And I’m pretty sure when he was doing opiates, he wasn’t using stepped on skid row balloons with dirty needles, he was getting that Pulp Fiction Amsterdam shit and pure pharmaceuticals.

Also, if I recall he had some sort of voice blow-out mid song on the farewell tour. So it didn't seem like something they were expecting.

He injured his larynx colliding with a railing or something. Otherwise 2 shows a week or so ...
They have been heavily blending his vocals with the keyboardists on newer songs since at least the Get A Grip tour in addition to the newly added backup singers and canned backing vocals
Fuggit I wanna full headline Joe Perry Project set, not just 40 mins at the Hollywood Bowl while people are trickling in chomping on nachoes and babbling about laundry or whatever the fuck they gotta do

Some guys just defy life... him, Keith, Mick Jagger (who has taken care of himself with top notch everything), Iggy...they are the lucky ones. The exception no doubt.

I think Joe is doing a few headlining gigs near me this summer.
