Paul and Gene watched it and Gene said "Wait. It's for charity? All that hard work and you get absolutely nothing out of it?"

And Doc said "Well, you see guys, it was for a good cause."

And Paul said "Yeah, of course. You say you'll donate 5% or whatever to orphans or something, but thats to get more rubes in the door, so they feel good about it. What about the rest of it. None of this makes sense. If they got a sculptor on stage as an opening act and then Foghat for 25 minutes, they would have sold the same amount of tickets and could have kept the money. They didnt need Jake E Lee up there to sell tickets. This was a thelebration of Ozzy. You wanna thelebrate Ozzy, you get Ozzy"

"Sure, we could invite a bunch of other bands to join us on stage and sell out a stadium, but that’s not what Kiss is about. What’s next? Goat Boy? Some musicians like to look at their shoes and sit in chairs, but that would be a disservice to the fans. This is a celebration of Kiss. The band today. And there’s no better way to honor the fans than by celebrating us and giving them the same exact show they know and expect. When someone pays $39.99 for a livestream of our farewell concert, they don’t want that money given away to some charity. Kiss has never been about politics. Kiss is for the people. And we’re paying that investment forward with new technology that takes Starchild, Space Man, Cat Man and Demon Man into the future while pledging allegiance to the state of rock and roll."
