Why is this guy so annoying on stage? Dude doesn't have the creds to be playing with our guitar heros yet he's up on stage showboating even though the other guys are carrying the heavy load.

yeah, he is incredibly annoying on-stage (and off).
I immediately noticed him on stage as the attention grabbing whore that he is.
there was some other benefit recently (Taylor Hawkins?) he was on stage and I noticed him and thought "who the fuck is this guy hamming it up like that?"

I keep hoping he will have a massive stroke on stage, but to no avail -- God refuses all my pleas.

I have hated the guy after seeing this cover of Roadhouse Blues.

I didn't know he had money growing up, but looking at it, says he was from Great Neck, and supposedly it's rich around there? /shrug

He's produced a ton of hits, so unfortunately, he gets to hobnob with the stars, and Ozzy likes him because he glued together the last two albums.

I agree though, I'd prefer the producers stick to producing.

Great producer though. The last albums from The Stones and Pearl Jam. He did a great job, their best albums in years. Wish Iron Maiden would change producers.

For sure - I don't know anything about his personality, but he produced the best Stones album in over forty years. And apparently there's another one coming.

He's won multiple Grammys including producer of the year. He's produced albums for the Rolling Stones, Ozzy and Pearl Jam.

He's the lead guitarist and primary songwriter on multiple Ozzy albums. He wrote, played and produced Ozzy's biggest hit of the last 30 years.

What other credentials does he need to be on Ozzy's stage?

He made an analog, classic rock band in Pearl Jam sound like trash. The songs sucked anyway but the bad digital production certainly didn't help.

The Ozzy albums weren't half bad when it came to the songs but again, it sounds like it was birthed in a cheap throwaway digital hell. Everything is muffled.

Ozzy and Pearl Jam aren't supposed to sound like that. One of the guitar solos I heard on one of the Ozzy tunes sounds like it was played using a guitar synth...on a fucking Ozzy song? No thanks!

When you go see these bands live they don't sound like digital diarhhea. Why make the albums sound like that?

I think your comments are fair, but I'll defend the Stones album. It was Watt's idea to have just Keith and Mick play Rolling Stone Blues to close out the album, and I think it sounds just fine.
