I don't know about these things... they tend to make the subject of the movie seem .. well... gay!

I've watched both the Freddie Mercury one and the Elton John one, and they both left me with a feeling that he main character might be of the homo-sexual observance.... I'd hate to se Klaus as that.

This post is not to be taken seriously.

Will be good if it's more Walk the Line and Almost Famous and less Rock Star and Rocketman.

The last thing the world needs is another 100% fictional "bio-pic" anyway.

This will do 1/64 of what the Motley movie did. Scorpions are nonexistent in mainstream America in 2025.

I love the Scorpions, but I don't know if they are the best band to do a movie on. They haven't really had any controversy or the type of stuff that makes for a great movie. They scored a lot of trim. Maybe they could have a storyline akin to band turmoil due to Matthias and Rudolph fighting over who is the father of one of their Japanese groupie's kids?

Not much controversy, EXCEPT for James Kottak's shenanigans, I predict most of the movie will revolve around him. His Dubai shenanigan stands out:

The reported incident occurred at Dubai airport on 3 April, when Scorpions were en route to Bahrain for a concert.
Kottak was arrested following a disturbance in the transit hall, the National newspaper reports, external.
The court heard he started swearing and talking about "non-educated Muslims", then flashed his middle finger.
Witnesses also testified that they heard Kottak shouting that he would not travel with a group of Pakistani and Afghan passengers.

At first I thought this was a documentary and was like “meh, I might watch that”. Then I read it better and was like “pass”. Who thought this was a good idea? Are we supposed to think the Scorpions and that song were somehow instrumental in the wall coming down and the “end of the Cold War”? Seriously?

I fucking hate that song. It's such a bland, mediocre song. Ruined the Scorpions for me. It's like a demarcation line - good Scorps before WIC, bad Scorps after.

Are Rudolph and Matthias even friends? They never compliment eachother. They are seldom near eachother onstage (unless they are forming the pyramid). Matthias has criticized Rudolph's brother Michael a number of times. During and interview with Matthias in his guitar store he held a Flying V and said something like "it's good for the posing guitarist" and then made a motion like he was throwing the V out of the window. Matthias is clearly the better guitar player and is sadly underrated and very overlooked unfortunately.

One thing about the Scorpions...they were probably the most energetic live band of the era. Watch their performance at Dortmund in '83 (the single best lineup of bands for a single festival ever...EVER) and it was nothing short of Olympiad level acrobatics! I could easily picture Klaus doing pole vault and Matthias on the parallel bars.
