Butch Walker playing guitar for Train for European summer tour

Butch is touring with Train this summer in Europe. Believe they are 2 weeks into 3-4 week tour. Their guitar player had new baby with wife and needed time off for summer.

Pat from Train posts video on all the socials daily from their song “If it’s love” when he says a line about cell phones up in the air. And does a crowd / band shot. Butch usually makes a funny face and the guys seems like they are having a great time.

Butch has wrote/cowrote songs for Train. Produced albums. And share management. Makes sense he had a fun summer playing their hits.

Once upon a time, Butch Walker blocked me on Facebook when I told him it was OK to start rocking again instead of writing ballad after ballad that get skipped over and over again. He told me to go fuck myself and said he wasn’t Dokken or Nickelback.

Two bands which obviously have everything in common.

I like Train though!

I am seeing Train on Friday at a festival in Minneapolis. Do you know if Butch is playing on the American part of their tour as well?

Marvelous 3 "Ready Sex Go" and his solo album "Left of Self Centered" was the pinnacle of his career........and what was that, almost 30 years ago?

From "Letters" to today has been throwaway drivel.....

And Southgang rules!

Butch was playing with Train last night. It looked like he was having an absolute blast playing with those guys. He brought a lot of energy to the show, a perfect fit as Pat knows how to work a crowd as well. It was a festival, so they had an hour long set, but they absolutely killed it. They played hit after hit, and a great sounding cover of "Under Pressure" as well. I hope Butch sticks with them. He adds a lot to the group, and I imagine it's a pretty good gig to have.

He also produced one of Sevendust's best albums in Seasons, but to your point, that was 22 years ago.

It appears he’s playing all US dates in August as well. He looks like he’s having a blast on stage with them. Even the guys in the band seem to be all smiles and having fun on some live clips on social media. Say what you want about Butch “always trying someone else’s jacket” Walker. But he is a diverse / jack of all trades musician. I mean. It’s not like Bobby Dall will be touring with another band for a summer or two.

As anyone seen him live?

Seems like tour schedule is finish train. Then he’s playing a few shows with drivin n crying. Then M3 shows in Sept.

I am headed to Nashville for the show.
