Kiss 92 record, is by many considered the best Kiss no make up record and i tend to agree. Here we have probably Kiss at his best with good qualtity songs by both Paul and Gene, an awesome guitar work from Kulick and a real solid drumming from Singer. Many standouts tracks such as the opener Unholy, the catchy Take It Off and I Just wanna, one of my fave Gene tunes ever, Domino, and many others. This album marked the first top 10 charted album by Kiss since the Love Gun era, and despite it was the beginning of the grunge explosion it managed to reach anyway gold status wtih over 600k and received real good airplay for actually5 tracks. It never happened before that 5 tracks made into an airplay chart from the same album by Kiss!
Definitely a real solid album!

For the second time, KISS brings in Vinnie Vincent to write songs to help the band correct course.
Long live the Wiz!!!

Top 5 KISS album for me. However, IMO, "Domiono" is shit, and the weakest "Gene song" on the CD.
"Take it Off" (with a sleazy video) would have been my choice for the 2nd single.

This is the 39th thread on this topic. Maybe we should standardize now. Due to the statute of limitations, all KISS albums now suck and deserve no appreciation. Signed, The Management.

Their most overrated album but it's KISS so it is still at least good. The album is all over the place and doesn't know what it wants to be. Production is terrific of course thanks to Ezrin. There are still some very good songs on the album (Unholy, Heart of Chrome). And a couple of their weakest songs to date (I just Wanna and Spit). Their 80s albums are better with the exception of HITS.

I love I Just Wanna, but other than that, this is pretty spot on.
Shameful admission....When it was released, I thought it was the greatest album ever made..

When this album was played in the car my step dad laughed out loud at the beginning of Domino with these lyrics:
Let me tell ya my story
I got a man-sized predicament
And it's a big one

My favorite of the Kiss without makeup albums. It didn't hurt to bring back: Bob Ezrin to produce and Vinnie Vincent to help with songwriting.

My 2nd favorite after Lick It Up. And the first one since LIU where it sounded like they were trying seriously to make a good solid album - maybe that was Ezrin's influence but even the weaker songs sound less throwaway than the filler on say HITS or Asylum.
Loved the album when it came out and it's one of the few Kiss albums I still listen to. Oh and musically it's the best Kiss line-up ever. But it simply wasn't a success or at least not as big as it should have been. Gold is what crap like HITS or Psycho Circus sells if it has the KISS logo on it.

I wish they had gone for darker subject matters. "I hop into my car hit the local titty bar" kind of lyrics make you feel embarrassed.
Musically mostly excellent album. I Just Wanna is terrible and still like Paralyzed and Thou Shall Not are a bit boring but otherwise good,
