This is unfortunate but funny. Alex Lifeson came out to play Limelight at some show with Tom Morello, but when it came to the solo, a bolt broke on Alex's headstock and he lost the E string. It sounds like one of those joke videos people have made where they make it look like somebody is playing horrible. Except this was legit. Not Alex's fault but it's still funny.

Ouch. Alex must have been pissed. Pretty hard to compensate when it’s the high E you lost, especially for that solo. That’s a nightmare

I haven't watched it yet, but a bolt on his headstock broke? What in the hell? That is terrible luck! So a bolt broke? Like one of the machine tuners (or whatever they are called)? That would be like the truss rod snapping or something. Very bad luck indeed.

Yeah, that was pretty bad. Saint Sanders level. What do you do at that point? Just turn down your volume nob? Stop the band and try to take it from somewhere? Or just eat it and look like a jackass?

Signal to the other guitar player to take the solo? How hard can it be for pros at this level?

is Tom Morello stepping in for Dave Grohl as "annoying famous 90's rocker guy worming his way into everything" while Dave deals with fathering a child out of wedlock?
