Better is the best meaning most well rounded... but if Axl wasn't all Mickey Rose I think Catcher in the Rye might do it. Or maybe Shackler's Revenge.. or Prostitute.

It used to be Madagascar in the earlier demos, but on the album, it sounds more like Tina Turner than Axl Rose.

I'll go with the title track, barely.

Better is the only song that comes close the "quality" of the songwriting found on the UYI albums. The rest of ChinDem is primarily meandering filler.

Better was decent, The rest has been pretty much forgotten about it for a good reason. If that album was released today it would be dropped out of anyone’s consciousness in four days. There’s nothing truly memorable about it. Other than the nameplate

Madagascar with Chinese Democracy close behind. These are the only 2 songs I care for on the album. Sorry is ok but the count chocula vocal choice really takes me out.

"I.R.S." is the only one that I really like a lot (I think I had a rougher demo version downloaded a couple of years before the album came out.) Axl sounds good on it and Buckethead's playing is great. The title track is good. "Better" is so-so, at best. Couldn't recall any of the other songs on the album until I checked on Spotify, and just a couple of those rang any bells.

Love the whole album, but my go tos are the title track and Shackler's.

It's a genuinely great effort, but it never had a chance due to how long it took and people wanting AFD part 2.
