This isn’t only sad but this is a guy in need of immediate rehab. So band management accepts the fact it’s just cool with Don being Don and him going on the stage completely obliterated on pills and booze? All for a small paycheck. Everyone desperate to get their spot of fame but not willing to turn the light on the guy who is completely incapacitated and no one’s willing to step in on him.

Only way it stops is if people stop buying tickets to see this trash. And they never will.

My favorite Dokken song and one of my favorite 80s songs period…. changing the verse to the minor scale is certainly a bold choice.
I have defended Dons shitty singing at times because if people wanna pay to see it, what can you do? But he sounds like he’s going to die onstage at any moment.
Wasn’t Don smart with his money?
I wish he’d lease/sell/give the name to George and Jeff and let them tour as Dokken with someone that can do justice to the vocals.

I mean....
1) He's actually singing all the words, just in a lower key, like he's done for years now
2) He's on time, he's not early or late, so it doesn't seem like he's specifically out of it
3) He's acknowledging the crowd, so it seems like he knows what's going on
Would I pay to see it? No, of course not. But I'm not sure saying that's he's "fucked up" is correct. When it comes to substance abuse, I think we've seen a lot worse out of Vince and Pearcy.
This seems more similar to what happened to Jon Bon Jovi, which makes sense since they both seem to have been stroke related.

Exactly. I saw Dokken a couple of weeks ago. They were handing out free tickets so I figured why not. I knew what I was getting. Place was half full (800 capacity). Even with Lynch on a couple of songs.
I think this is the last run. People are done.
Also, what is the deal with taking Lynch out? He came out for 3 songs at then end of the night. What is the financial arrangement?
Lynch gets a paycheck (for how much?) to play an encore? Don gets to put him on the marquee but has to pay Norum as well.
Why not have George play a full set and pay him what he makes now plus what Norum makes? Maybe George doesn’t want to do it?
Amy ideas how this all works?

He’s just old.
I guess nobody filmed Pearcy/DeMartini at Jam at the Dam.

I would think the only people going to see Dokken now are people that "want to see him" because they haven't yet. Grandparents bringing their grandkids, the odd horror buff who sees Dream Warriors etc. At this point, I can't imagine anyone purposely buying a ticket for a Dokken show & expecting anything of quality.

This. Knuckle-dragging 80s burnouts are easy to please and they'll keep showing up.

Don only has Lynch play a couple of songs because he doesn't want to get rid of Jon Levin. He should've made Jon leave when George wanted to come back.

Holy shit that was bad. Barely made it through a minute.
Here's the same song from Rocklahoma 2008. Granted, nearly 20 years ago, but this was about the last time he sounded consistently good, and it's infinitely better than whatever it was in the OP.

As others have mentioned in this thread, it's the ticket thing that baffles me. Why do people still pay for this? A free show with another decent band on the bill and local...fine I can see that. But going out of your way to pay for a ticket to this, why? There's been YEARS of documented evidence that Don is not right and even when he is he just mails it in. Last time he sounded decent or, for that matter, even tried was what...2014? Whenever he opened some shows for the Scorps I remember him seeming like he actually gave a shit on that run.
