Been seeing some chatter on the internet that Crue are potentially dropping him again. Anyone have any inside info? If they did, who would be the replacement? Some have said Sebitchian is being considered. Doubt that would ever work with all the egos there already.

They should have just used the tapes again for the Vegas residency and called it a day. By him going out and doing 3 shows of questionable singing, etc, it just shows he can't cut it, and hasnt been able to cut it for years.

Thoughts/info?

I think they could pull off getting a young Vince lookalike. Someone like Gronwell, but probably a bit cooler. Like an unknown Bach. There's gotta be scores of them out there.

People pay to see total garbage crue, they'd probably pay to see scabbier Crue. Between Tommy and 5-y, they prolly dont have to run so much tracks and if Vince isnt there, Tommy would prolly agree to rehearse, so they'd be tighter.

Overall, it makes sense. But I doubt they actually do it unless Vince literally cant do a run of shows. Scarred from last time, and what happened (even though this would be totally different).

ACDC looked at a few tribute band guys around the time they went with Axl. If they considered it, it would work for Crue.

I’m the furthest from in the know but strikes me as a ridiculous premise - why would rich-as-fuck-and-getting-older Nikki and Tommy go out of their way to take such an inevitably huge paycut?

Motley OR Poison should’ve replaced their singers at this point with Sebastian. Either one for crying out loud…. different reasons but still needed. Bas probably has the best voice of the 80’s singers that’s “available”.

If Vince is terrible on the residency, the paycut will come regardless. They won't get another big booking.

Why not bring in Sebastian and play Crue and Skid tunes? You could still bill it as Motley Crue does some Skid Row.

I was there, and I cannot argue they Vince sounds anywhere near a good rock singer, or his personal best … he DID seem to try, and the band was well rehearsed - I felt like I should see Vince while I can … #TeamVince

They're not getting rid of Vince. Not as long as these people exist and got money.

I don't know why people are thinking Bach is the way to go. That guys voice is cashed. The guy from Great White would be the one to get. What's he going to stay loyal to Great White if they asked him? No.. He's young, has a voice and a look. Thats who I would audition. Maybe Shiraz Lane dude. People are suggesting Bach because they know MC would need to replace Vince with someone equally-or-more-famous to possibly hold onto their current draw/status.

Like when AC/DC got Axl - He did a great job, but there were much younger and better singers. They hired him from a business perspective - he would draw.

But it's all fanfiction - Bach isn't joining Motley Crue. Motley Crue isn't replacing Vince.

The only member the general public cares about is the singer. If Foreigner had kept their lead singer, they'd have spent the past 30 years playing sheds, not casinos and theaters. Skid Row spent the past 30 years playing bar & grills and bowling alleys because they don't have their lead singer.

Nikki is obsessed with his rockstar image. He tried to end Motley Crue and make Sixx:AM his fulltime band, but his ego couldn't handle playing theaters. Which is what MC would be doing with a scab singer - theaters and casinos. 20k arenas would be history.

Could they continue? Sure. Will they? Zero chance.

My money is that his medical issues aren't over and could strike again at any time. So if anything, maybe Motley had some discussions on what to do if something goes down again, but they're gonna ride with Vince until his wheels fall off, which might actually be soon.

The look of worry in Vince’s eyes is palpable, he’s scared … no way he’s Crue ready by September 12th.

Dates are September 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 24, 26, 27 October 1, 3 … not a lot of down time for a sick dude.
