I dunno. All I know is people see Simone Biles and Serena and dont think. "Ugh, this is painful to watch". Prolly same for womens soccer, or track and field events or beach volleyball. The chicks look great at what they do.

basketball and baseball are interesting. For some reason, everyone is on board that chicks need to underhand a big softball and not play baseballl. Yet in Basketball, it's dictated it MUST be exactly the height of the men's hoop, even though they use a smaller ball and a closer 3 point line. Those changes are fine, but rim height is sacrosanct. Even though it makes them look like they cant play.

Depends. The plastic rats thrown at the end of the game when the Florida Panthers win is a great fan experience. Same with the octopus at Detroit Red Wing games. Part of hockey folklore.
