Mark Sokol -- I encountered him once and was disgusted with how predatory he was. It has to be an open secret because Metallica mentioned him in their liner notes once as "The God of Love." Love had nothing to do with it.

Andy Secher -- wrote all of Hit Parader under fake names, copied international articles and ran them as originals, would interview the bassist and drummer from a band because they were the only ones who would talk to him, then say it was the singer and lead guitarist. And I heard that Miss Heavy Metal contest was shady as hell. 10x worse than Trunk ever was.

I read a version of that story years ago, about a club owner who kept a female entourage of drug addicts that he liked to humiliate, P Diddy style. I remembered it, probably wrongly, as Michael Alig, but he fits this thread too, anyway.
